Brightstar Resources Says Drilling at Western Australia Gold Project Shows 'Significant Scale and Upside'

Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) said results from diamond and reverse circulation drilling at its Sandstone gold project in Western Australia continue to indicate "significant scale and upside," according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

High-grade infill results at the Achilles deposit include nine meters at 4.50 grams per tonne grade of gold from 120 meters; six meters at 6.90 g/t gold from 145 meters; four meters at 8.79 g/t gold from 134 meters; four meters at 7.24 g/t gold from 99 meters; and two meters at 29.5 g/t gold from 148 meters.

Results at the Indomitable East deposit include 15 meters at 3.41 g/t gold from 90 meters; seven meters at 6.18 g/t gold from 22 meters; nine meters at 4.07 g/t gold from 22 meters; five meters at 4.01 g/t gold from 18 meters; and seven meters at 3.81 g/t gold from 59 meters.

The Sandstone project hosts a current mineral resource estimate of 2.4 million ounces at 1.5 g/t gold. A mineral resource update is due in the coming weeks, and a pre-feasibility study is targeted for the second half of the year, Brightstar said.
