Saunders International (ASX:SND) secured a roughly AU$23 million head contract from the Australian Department of Defense for fuel infrastructure works at the RMAF Base Butterworth in Malaysia, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The scope of work on the Australian leased facilities at the Malaysian Air Force location includes off-site fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning of fuel infrastructure and associated systems, the company said.

The project is expected to contribute to revenue and earnings in fiscal year 2027 and fiscal year 2028, with pre-mobilization activities to start immediately and site mobilization expected in the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, per the filing.
