0413 GMT - Food Empire's 1H profit is likely to grow on year but decline sequentially, says CGS International's William Tng in a note. The Singapore-listed instant coffee maker's strong brand and capacity expansion in coffee-powder manufacturing should support efforts to boost its business, he says. However, he notes the company's 2H 2025 results were strong, which is likely to result in a half-on-half profit decline. He continues to expect the company's core earnings per share to grow 9%-13% over 2027-2028, but cuts his 2026-2028 EPS estimate by around 17% to factor in a 1-for-5 bonus issue. CGS International therefore cuts its target price to S$3.33 from S$4.00 and retains its add rating. Shares drop 3.6% to HK$2.44. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
