4DMedical (ASX:4DX) said a bill introduced in the House of Representatives directs the US Department of Veterans Affairs to establish a pilot program using 4D functional lung imaging to identify respiratory disorders and lung diseases in military veterans, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The bill, the AIRCARE for Vets Act, H.R.9666, was jointly introduced by Representatives Juan Ciscomani and Chris Pappas.

Veterans experience higher rates of respiratory disease, associated with exposures sustained during service, the filing added.

Its shares fell 3% in recent trading on Thursday.
