美联储理事沃勒周一表示在审视本周公布的通胀数据时他会比面对较低的通胀读数时更重视又一个高通胀读数所传递的信息。沃勒说道：“我们基本上已连续近五到六个月看到通胀读数‘更高、更高、更高、更高’。”他还表示“如果再次出现更高数值我会将其视为信号而非噪音。但如果通胀数据走低那么鉴于已经连续五、六个月出现高通胀我可能还需要一两个月的数据才能断定：‘好吧这确实是一个信号。’”。
