新西兰首席经济学家Paul Conway周二表示，国内通胀放缓速度可能不会像央行预测的那样快，暗示未来可能进一步加息。

　　新西兰央行上周将第三季度通胀预期从4.3%下调至3.3%，反映出美伊达成临时协议后燃油价格下跌。但近几日，随着中东地区新一轮冲突爆发，油价出现反弹。

　　Conway在惠灵顿讲话表示，“我认为过去一周中东局势的发展预示着我们对9月季度的预测存在上行风险。如果中东冲突引发的通胀压力比预期持续时间更长，我们将采取应对措施。”

　　新西兰央行的鹰派立场以及一系列利好经济数据促使交易员押注今年还将加息两次，并推高新西兰元。交易员们还预计2027年第一季度还将再次加息。
