7月14日，美国最大商业银行摩根大通（JPMorgan Chase）董事长兼首席执行官杰米·戴蒙（Jamie Dimon）在接受媒体专访时，首次明确披露了其卸任后的未来职业规划，并正式否认了外界关于其将竞选美国总统的传闻。

　　现年70岁的戴蒙自2006年起执掌摩根大通。他在受访时表示，在交出首席执行官教鞭后，除继续与志同道合者开展商业合作外，他计划撰写一本关于企业管理或金融危机的专著。此外，戴蒙透露其可能出任部分公共职务，并表达了对教学及媒体相关工作的兴趣。

　　针对长期以来外界对其可能竞选美国总统的猜测，戴蒙明确回应称“几乎没有任何可能性”。他解释称，自己从未参与过任何政治竞选活动，且鉴于自身作为金融从业者与纽约市民的身份，加之年龄及过往健康状况，并不适合投身政坛。戴蒙强调，政治人物及其家庭面临着极其严苛的公众审视，而他目前通过在摩根大通的职位，同样能够对公共事务产生重大影响。近年来，戴蒙主导了摩根大通多项地缘政治与社会倡议，包括旨在提升美国竞争力的1.5万亿美元专项计划以及“美国梦倡议”。

　　随着摩根大通管理层梯队建设的推进，戴蒙时代的谢幕已进入倒计时。今年6月，特洛伊·罗尔巴（Troy Rohrbaugh）和道格·佩特诺（Doug Petno）出任摩根大通联合总裁，被外界视为最热门的继任人选。在被问及三年后是否仍将担任首席执行官时，戴蒙表示这将由董事会最终决定，但他计划在卸任首席执行官后继续担任集团执行董事长。
