福特汽车公司与代表其加拿大员工的工会达成并批准一份劳资协议，协议将为数万名工人上调薪资、发放奖金，同时车企承诺向安大略省西南部一座发动机工厂追加投资。
福特在发布的新闻稿中表示，协议三年有效期内，时薪工人薪资将上调9%。符合条件的全职正式员工可获得1万加元协议批准奖金，临时员工则能领取2000加元。
这份集体劳资协议除此前规划的5.5亿加元投资（用于奥克维尔整车厂，该厂即将扩产大型皮卡）外，还新增7亿加元（折合4.99亿美元）资金投入安大略省温莎市的埃塞克斯发动机工厂。
福特称，投向埃塞克斯工厂的新增资金将用于“提升5.0升发动机产能”，并支撑更大排量发动机的生产，该厂生产的大量零部件会运往福特美国各整车装配厂。
