消息称三星暂缓High-NA EUV技术量产,因财务考量而非技术瓶颈

IT之家 7 月 17 日消息,据 TrendForce 今天报道,英特尔已率先将 High-NA EUV 技术应用于量产(18A Panther Lake)。然而三星这边虽然已经安装了两台 High-NA EUV 设备,却迟迟没有跟进量产。业内人士认为,三星这么做更多是出于财务考量,而非技术瓶颈。

据报道,三星去年已在华城园区安装首台 High-NA EUV 设备,并于今年上半年再增设一台,总投资金额预计超 1 万亿韩元(IT之家注:现汇率约合 45.57 亿元人民币)。不过这些设备至今没有投入量产,商业化部署仍处于暂停状态。

据悉,三星的晶圆代工业务从 2022 年以来一直处于亏损状态,不过部分市场观察人士预计,该业务最快有望于今年第四季度实现盈利。

对于三星来说,目前将 High-NA EUV 设备投入量产,意味着固定运营成本大幅增加。因此,三星目前不愿意在即将扭亏为盈的节点上承担更多资本支出。同时,三星 2nm 工艺良率已提升至 55% 左右,接近业内普遍认为稳定量产所需的 60% 水平。

半导体设备行业人士对此表示,三星目前的良率已经可以部署新设备。不过在获得更多大型客户订单、确保盈利能力更加稳固之前,三星仍将维持保守的资本支出策略。
