消息面上，7月14日，马鞍山钢铁股份发布公告，公司预计2026年上半年实现归属于上市公司股东的净亏损人民币0.72亿元左右，与上年同期相比，减少亏损人民币0.03亿元左右；归属于上市公司股东的扣除非经常性损益的净亏损人民币2.26亿元左右，与上年同期相比，增加亏损人民币1.18亿元左右。
公告称，本期，预计公司控股子公司马鞍山钢铁有限公司实现净利润人民币1.03亿元左右，安徽长江钢铁股份有限公司实现净利润人民币1.51亿元左右，同比均有所增长。但是，受参股公司河南金马能源股份有限公司(金马能源)的附属公司信阳钢铁金港能源有限公司(信阳金港)被法院裁定进入破产清算程序影响，公司按权益法确认相应投资损失，导致上半年业绩出现亏损。
