Dbs's 2Q Earnings Likely Supported by High Wealth Management Fees

0358 GMT - DBS Group's 2Q earnings are likely to be supported by elevated wealth management fees and other non-interest income, CGS International analysts say in a note. After hitting record wealth management fees in 1Q, the Singaporean bank should be able to maintain similar levels in 2Q, they add. The bank could also book favorable markets trading income, given bond yield volatility amid the Middle East crisis during the quarter. CGS International expects DBS's 2Q net profit at 2.90 billion Singapore dollars, up 2.7% on year, but down 1.0% on quarter. The brokerage raises its target price for DBS to S$77.10 from S$69.90, while maintaining an add rating. Shares are 0.1% higher at S$71.99.(amanda.lee@wsj.com)
