Guiguan Electric Power Says No Material Information Drove 20% Stock Rally; Shares Down 4%

Guangxi Guiguan Electric Power (SHA:600236) said it found no material matters that could have caused its recent abnormal stock trading after its shares triggered an abnormal trading fluctuation for three consecutive trading days, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

The company's closing share price between July 16 and July 20 posted a cumulative deviation of more than 20%.

The company conducted an internal probe and found no material information, market rumors, or undisclosed information that could have triggered the unusual stock movement.

Shares of the power producer dropped nearly 4% in Tuesday midday trade.
