路透法恩伯勒，英格兰7月21日 - 喷气发动机制造商普惠公司 RTX.N 周二表示，因发动机相关问题而停飞的飞机数量已从一个未披露的峰值下降了40%，且对于空客A220和巴西航空工业公司E2等小型机型而言，此类停飞情况已基本消失。
这家隶属于RTX集团的子公司一直饱受维护延误和金属污染问题的困扰，这些问题加剧了行业内因发动机短缺引发的危机，并导致数百架飞机停飞。
商用发动机业务总裁里克·德鲁洛（Rick Deurloo）在新闻发布会上表示，未来数月内，最小型飞机的停飞数量将降至零。他拒绝透露仍有多少架较大的空客A320neo客机处于停飞状态，但指出情况正在稳步好转。据报导，停飞数量曾一度达到约500架。
