【微生物所李明团队合作揭示CRISPR-Cas调控细菌先天免疫的协同新机制】7月22日,中国科学院微生物研究所李明团队和密歇根大学张燕团队合作,在Nature上发表题为“CRISPR-Cas regulates expression of embedded anti-phage defence systems”的研究论文。该研究首次系统揭示了原核生物中适应性免疫与先天免疫之间的协同调控机制,为理解生命免疫系统的演化与互作提供了全新视角。该研究不仅在原核生命层面首次提出了两种免疫相互协同和守卫的理论框架,而且基于该原创理论建立了新型免疫系统的全新发掘路径,并系统性鉴定出一系列新型免疫元件,包括原核Caspase蛋白酶、新型核酸酶等。这些新元件的发现,不仅为深入理解和干预高等生命的先天免疫提供了新知识和新工具,也有望为底层分子技术的创新提供关键元件资源。
