Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS) said the mining lease application (MLA 659) for the Constellation project, part of its Tritton copper operations in New South Wales, was approved after obtaining development consent under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The mining lease, together with other approvals such as environment protection licenses and planning approvals, allows the firm to begin mining operations at Constellation.
A modification to the Tritton DA 41/98 to integrate Constellation into the operations was approved in September 2025.
The company's shares jumped over 8% in recent trading on Wednesday.
