Market Chatter: ICICI Bank Raise $1 Billion Through Five-Year Bonds

ICICI Bank (NSE:ICICIBANK, BOM:532174) has raised $1 billion through a five-year senior unsecured dollar bond, priced at a spread of 100 basis points over US Treasuries, according to a Business Standard report on Thursday.

The bonds carry a coupon rate of 5.46%, with the issue being 2.2 times oversubscribed after attracting orders of more than $2.3 billion, the report said.

This is the private sector lender's first public US dollar bond issuance in nine years, since 2017.

ICICI Bank did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a comment.
