1832 ET - ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott frames his company as a clear beneficiary of artificial-intelligence adoption, following a 2Q print that showed 24% revenue growth and strong contract values. "Whichever chip wins, whichever lab wins, whichever price per token regime prevails, the enterprise needs one governance layer of record for work, and ServiceNow offers needed certainty in an uncertain stack," he tells investors on a Wednesday call. "Our platform is optionality on all AI outcomes, not a bet on any one." ServiceNow is among many software companies subject to investor speculation about their durability in an AI age, but the firm's 2Q print seems to breed some confidence. Shares are up 4.4% after-hours. (elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
