受人工智能驱动的芯片行业繁荣推动，韩国经济第二季度增速超出预期，这也为进一步加息提供了依据。

　　韩国央行周四表示，第二季度国内生产总值环比增长0.6%，第一季度增幅为1.8%。这一数字高于彭博调查经济学家的预期中值0.4%。虽然较第一季度的2021年底以来最快增速的出色表现有所放缓，但周四公布的数据延续了此前一系列强于预期的经济数据，这些数据促使政府、央行和国际货币基金组织多次上调韩国经济增长预期。

　　这将为央行官员在未来几个月考虑再次加息提供依据，此前他们于上周进行了自2023年以来的首次加息。对经济学家的调查显示，他们预计10月还会再有一次行动，少数人预测可能会在8月27日的会议上发生。
