Southern Cross Gold Consolidated (ASX:SX2) identified further gold mineralization during recent drilling at its Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project in Victoria, linking the Christina prospect to the Golden Dyke prospect, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The results were up to 1.6 meters at 21.4 grams per tonne gold equivalent from 246.5 meters, including 0.2 meters at 156.5 grams per tonne gold equivalent from 246.5 meters.

The westernmost and deepest hole reported from Christina to date intersected 15 vein sets, defining the prospective corridor within Rising Sun 1,010 meters below surface, with Christina now demonstrated to host the same mineralized system as Golden Dyke and Rising Sun, the filing added.

The company's shares fell almost 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
