Shinhan Financial (KRX:055550) has confirmed that it is pursuing the acquisition of Lotte Insurance, but no decisions have been finalized, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.
The company, in a response to a recent Korea Economic Daily report, said it is reviewing various measures to enhance its non-bank competitiveness.
The response was filed as a follow-up to the company's initial undetermined disclosure on June 29, with a re-disclosure date set for Oct. 27.
