Kyverna Therapeutics Shares Rise on Manufacturing Deal for Autoimmune Disease Treatment

Shares of Kyverna Therapeutics rose after the company struck a commercial manufacturing and supply deal with ElevateBio for miv-cel, a patient-cell treatment in development for autoimmune diseases, including stiff person syndrome and generalized myasthenia gravis.

Shares were recently up about 6% at $7.83 in late morning trading. The stock is down about 18% over the past three months

The agreement covers U.S. commercial and global clinical supply of miv-cel. The late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company said the deal provides flexible, scalable supply to support potential launches in stiff person syndrome and generalized myasthenia gravis.

The companies said their partnership has delivered a clinical manufacturing success rate of more than 98% for miv-cel.

Kyverna said it remains on track to complete its rolling BLA submission for stiff person syndrome in the fourth quarter. The company said miv‑cel could become the first FDA approved CAR T-cell therapy for an autoimmune disease and the first approved treatment for stiff person syndrome.
