媒体与船舶追踪平台 MarineTraffic 汇总的船舶定位数据显示，四艘隶属于阿布扎比国家石油公司（ADNOC）或与其签订长期租约的液化天然气船，于 7 月 24 日在霍尔木兹海峡东侧阿联酋附近锚地关闭定位信号。这批空载船舶或将驶入波斯湾装货。阿布扎比国家石油公司位于达斯岛的液化天然气出口厂地处波斯湾。此前该地区安全局势紧张时，前往该厂区装货的油轮都会关闭定位隐藏行踪。涉事船舶分别为 Marigold LNG， Umm Al Ashtan， Mraweh 和 Al Hamra。自 2 月末伊朗相关冲突爆发以来，这几艘船就一直在波斯湾内承运液化天然气。
