Royal Philips reported increased sales in its second quarter, driven by growth across all its business segments.

The Dutch health-technology company reported group sales of 4.4 billion euros ($5 billion), reflecting comparable-sales growth of 4%. Analysts polled by FactSet expected EUR4.31 billion.

Income from operations was EUR609 million. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization increased about 16%.

The company said comparable order intake declined 1% with growth in diagnosis & treatment offset by the shifting timing of large connected-care orders.

Chief Executive Roy Jakobs said customer demand for the company's products remains healthy, with large orders in North America shifting into the third quarter, while Europe delivered strong double-digit growth.

He added that Philips largely completed its U.S. tariff-refund process, and its productivity program is on track to helping offset macroeconomic pressures.

For the fiscal year, Philips continues to guide for comparable-sales growth between 3% and 4.5% and adjusted EBITA margin between 13.5% and 14%.
