马斯克认为，AI 发展最可能结果是“惊人丰裕时代”，即机器人+AI 能生产远超人类消费能力的商品与服务，任何人都能拥有想要的东西。到 2036 年左右，“金钱可能不再重要”。
他认为政府可直接向民众发放支票（类似普遍高收入），因产出激增，更可能出现通缩而非通胀；传统税收/再分配逻辑在新范式下可能失效。他接受 AI 存在约 10–20% 灭绝人类风险，但认为发展势头不可阻挡，已达“哲学结论”：无法阻止就加入并“享受旅程”。
