Apple is on pace to snap Nvidia's 272-trading-day streak as the largest U.S. company by market cap. The iPhone maker, which has never cracked the $5 trillion market cap threshold, is also closing in on that milestone.

-- Apple, which reports earnings Thursday, is the only Mag-Seven stock poised to hit a record. The other six are at least 15% away from their respective record all-time highs, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
