路透7月30日 - 澳大利亚比塔卢能源公司（Beetaloo Energy Australia， BTL.AX）周四表示，已与油田服务公司哈里伯顿（Halliburton， HAL.N）签署了一项不具约束力的协议，以推动在澳大利亚北领地开发一项拟议中的天然气发电及数据中心项目。
哈里伯顿将提供技术专长，为“比塔卢数字”（Beetaloo Digital）项目评估和开发天然气资源。该项目致力于为超大规模数据中心和人工智能基础设施供电，核心区域位于达尔文附近的韦德尔（Weddell），占地185公顷。
Beetaloo Energy表示，哈里伯顿可在油田开发、钻井、项目执行以及可扩展的燃气发电领域提供专业技术支持。
比塔卢能源首席执行官安德伍德（Alex Underwood）将该协议描述为在天然气供应、发电、管道及数据中心开发领域构建专业合作伙伴网络的又一重要步骤。
该公司表示，该项目基于比塔卢盆地的天然气资源，仍需经过概念研究、合作伙伴协议、融资及监管审批等环节。
