Samsung's Long-Term Memory Contracts Seen Improving Earnings Outlook

0122 GMT - Samsung Electronics' growing shift to long-term memory supply contracts is improving earnings visibility and supporting a stronger profit outlook, according to Korea Investment & Securities. The brokerage says the company's second-quarter results beat expectations as memory prices surged, while new hyperscaler agreements help stabilize demand and capacity utilization. The brokerage raises its target price for Samsung by 10% to 650,000 won to reflect improved earnings prospects and potential upside from HBM pricing, and maintains a buy rating. The stock is last up 25%.
