Quanta Computer Eyes Up to $2.2 Billion Via GDS Shares Sale

Quanta Computer (TPE:2382) plans to raise up to $2.2 billion through the sale of global depositary shares (GDS), according to a term sheet reviewed by Reuters.
The Taiwanese laptop and cloud-computing equipment maker is offering 49 million GDS, each representing five new shares, at $43.91 to $44.77 apiece, with the securities to be listed in Luxembourg, according to the report.
Quanta plans to use the proceeds to purchase raw materials in foreign currencies. The offering is expected to be priced later on Wednesday, the news agency said.
Quanta Computer did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a comment.
