欧洲股市在财报季最繁忙的一天上涨，施耐德电气、罗尔斯·罗伊斯控股及多家银行公布的强劲业绩，盖过了赛诺菲股价大跌的拖累。
斯托克欧洲600指数在伦敦上涨0.8%，矿业股和银行股领涨。施耐德电气在上调指引后股价大涨11%，而罗尔斯·罗伊斯第二次上调展望，股价上涨6%。
英国富时100指数一度上涨0.7%，创下盘中纪录，随后回吐全部涨幅，收跌0.1%。英国央行维持利率不变，行长安德鲁·贝利强调，货币政策委员会并未逐步接近加息。
另一方面，赛诺菲股价下跌8.9%，对股指拖累最大。
法国兴业银行、西班牙对外银行和荷兰国际集团业绩表现强劲，推动银行股指数上涨2.6%。DSM-Firmenich AG季度内生销售增长超过预期，股价大涨12%。
