Equinix (EQIX) is seeking to raise at least $3 billion through a US investment-grade bond sale, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The real estate investment trust and a European subsidiary are offering notes in up to four tranches, with maturities ranging from three to 10 years, the report said, adding that initial price talk for the longest-dated notes is about 1.4 percentage points over US Treasuries.

Proceeds from the offering will be used to fund property and business acquisitions, development opportunities, and other corporate purposes, including debt repayment, Bloomberg said.

Equinix did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
