SunCoke Energy Shares Fall Despite Higher Q2 Earnings, Revenue

SunCoke Energy, Inc. (SXC) shares were down 20% in Thursday trading even after the company reported higher second-quarter earnings and revenue.

The company reported Q2 GAAP earnings Thursday of $0.15 per diluted share, up from $0.02 a year earlier.

Two analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $0.08.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $475.3 million, up from $434.1 million a year earlier.

Two analysts expected $445.2 million.

The company's board maintained a quarterly dividend of $0.12 per share, payable on Sept. 2 to shareholders of record on Aug. 17.
