Under the Radar: MarketAxess Stock Surges on Deal with NYSE Owner

Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, agreed to acquire MarketAxess, an electronic trading platform for bond markets, for $6 billion.
ICE will pay $167 a share in cash for MarketAxess, a 33% premium to the company's Wednesday closing price. The stock jumped about 30% in premarket trading.
