消息面上，截至7月28日收盘，日经股指较6月22日盘中创下的历史最高点72831.73点，累计回落超1万点。市场普遍担忧半导体行业竞争加剧，企业盈利将持续恶化。据悉，韩国股指半导体股权重较高，与东京股市联动性较强，韩国股指大幅下挫进一步激发市场避险情绪。野村证券分析师表示，此前市场一直正面评价AI相关的设备投资，但考虑到对财务稳健性的影响，市场观点普遍趋于谨慎。
另值得一提的是，有分析师表示，中国公司正在自行开发DUV微影设备，使得投资人担心中国记忆体制造商可能加快产能扩张。此外，投资人也担心中国若真跨越微影设备的技术门槛，假以时日也可能取代美国的沉积、蚀刻和检测等半导体制造设备。
