路透7月29日 - 美国最大的零担运输公司之一——老多米尼恩货运公司（Old Dominion Freight Line， ODFL.O）周三公布，得益于运价上涨和工业客户需求增长，其第二季度利润实现增长。
这一业绩公布之际，监管政策推动的运力收紧正推高运费，同时企业为避免因美国和以色列对伊朗的战争引发的供应短缺，纷纷提前下单。
具体情况如下：
老多米尼恩公司报告称，4月至6月季度的每股利润为1.68美元，高于去年同期的1.27美元。
季度营收增长10.4%，达到15.5亿美元。零担（LTL）业务板块的每百磅收入——这一指标通常被视为定价风向标——上涨了15.2%。
不过，第二季度的零担货运量下降了5.7%。
卡车运输公司指出，今年大部分时间美国制造业活动 (link) 有所改善，这表明工业需求强劲。5月份，制造业活动指数创下四年来的最高水平。
Old Dominion的主要竞争对手包括XPO XPO.N、Saia SAIA.O 以及近期从联邦快递（FedEx）分拆出来的市场领导者联邦快递货运（FedEx Freight） FDXF.N。
