路透7月29日 - Marvell Technology（MRVL.O）周三表示，未来三年将在印度投资2.5亿美元，以扩大其技术、人才和基础设施能力。
随着人工智能推动的芯片需求不断增长，这家总部位于美国的公司加入了越来越多的全球半导体企业行列，在印度扩大其工程业务。
具体细节如下：
芯片设计商Marvell于2006年在印度开展业务，计划作为此次投资的一部分，将其在印度的员工人数增加一倍。该公司在班加罗尔、浦那和海得拉巴均设有办事处。
该公司还表示，将在班加罗尔办公室增建新翼，同时扩大在海得拉巴的业务规模。
此次业务扩张预计将支持针对人工智能、云计算和数据基础设施应用的先进半导体解决方案的开发。
此次投资发生在印度内阁批准扩大 (link) 一项关键半导体计划数周之后，该计划将获得1.28万亿卢比(（133.8亿美元)）的新增资金，旨在深化印度的制造和设计能力。
