Shares of Sally Beauty Holdings rose after the hair-beauty supply company reported higher profit and revenue in its third quarter.
The stock was up 8.9% to $16.30 in recent trading, and rose 14% since the start of the year.
The company posted net income of $54.1 million, or 55 cents a share, compared with $45.7 million, or 44 cents a share, a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings per share were 55 cents. Analysts polled by FactSet expected 53 cents.
Revenue ticked up 0.2% to $935.5 million. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $939.4 million.
Chief Executive Denise Paulonis said comparable sales growth in the U.S. and Canada was supported by the strength of hair color, digital growth and new customer acquisition.
The company narrowed its fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to between $3.725 billion and $3.733 billion from between $3.725 billion and $3.75 billion. Sally Beauty expects adjusted earnings per share to be between $2.04 and $2.08 compared with its prior guidance of between $2.02 and $2.10.
