1709 ET - Palantir CEO Alex Karp uses his quarterly letter to shareholders to level intense criticism against leading AI developers. Palantir's partners are seeking control over their data, prompts, and business intelligence that "the language labs are not only ready and willing, but structurally designed to capture from their customers," Karp writes. "Our customers have declined to become vassal states of the language labs. And the market is now shifting dramatically underfoot." Karp's remarks add fuel to a growing backlash against leading AI labs OpenAI and Anthropic, though he mentioned neither by name. They also follow a strong quarter from Palantir, with shares up 12% after-hours.
