JBG Smith Postpones 2Q Earnings, Citing Impact of Court Ruling
Dow Jones
Aug 04
JBG Smith postponed the release of its second-quarter financial results as it evaluates the impact of an unfavorable court ruling on its business.
The company was among the defendants in a lawsuit over construction and design deficiencies at a condominium development in Washington D.C. A court in D.C. last week ordered the defendants to pay around $356 million in damages.
Though the company said it plans to continue vigorously defending itself in court, it noted uncertainty around the timing and outcome of post-trial proceedings. It expects to release its second-quarter results by Aug. 10, once it finishes assessing the impact of the ruling.
