Three people were killed and at least five others wounded in a shooting at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday, officials said.

Twin Falls police received a call just before 2:30 p.m. local time about an active shooter at the restaurant, according to Joshua Palmer, a city spokesman. Multiple people were transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center.

The suspected shooter is dead, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said at a Saturday press briefing.

"He was nearby on the scene there, and we were working trying to ascertain his identity and the motivations behind that," Hicks said.

The number of victims could grow, according to Palmer. He couldn't immediately confirm whether the three fatalities included the shooter. No information was immediately available on motive, he said.
