ChainCatcher 消息，据 Livecoins 报道，巴西警方在一次针对废金属盗窃与销赃的例行检查中，在一个废品回收站发现了一个隐藏的非法比特币矿场，现场查获约 15 台 ASIC 矿机以及 3 台服务器，设备总价值估计超过 20 万雷亚尔（约 3.94 万美元）。
比特币挖矿在巴西本身并不违法，但这些设备偷接电力，当地电力公司 Cemig 估计每月损失约 6 万雷亚尔（约 1.18 万美元）。一名 37 岁的回收站员工无法说明设备来源，也未提供发票，被当场以盗窃和销赃罪逮捕。警方还对负责该企业的一对 31 岁男女立案。
警方表示，目前正在追查所挖加密货币的流向。
