香港交易所8月3日正式推出五年期人民币国债期货。中国证监会主席吴清在上市仪式上表示，这是内地与香港深化资本市场务实合作的又一重要里程碑，“正当其时，水到渠成”。
吴清指出，国债期货是国债金融市场最具代表性的利率衍生品之一，在现代金融体系当中发挥着日益重要的作用。当前国际投资者持有中国债券已经达到3.2万亿元，风险管理需求日益增强。三个月以前，多个境外投资者参与境内国债期货交易落地实施。在中国证监会、中国人民银行及香港相关同仁有关方面的通力合作下，两地的监管和市场机构在规则制定、市场组织、基础设施、风险防控等方面做了大量扎实细致的工作。今天五年期人民币国债期货在香港正式落地，可以说是正当其时、水到渠成。
吴清表示，这不仅能够为国际投资者提供便捷高效的工具，帮助外资更好、更安心地持有中国债券资产，也将有利于促进两地国债现货市场和期货市场的紧密联动，健全更具韧性和有效性的国债收益率曲线。从长远看，这个重要品种将进一步丰富人民币资产应用场景，强化香港全球人民币业务枢纽功能，更好提升金融服务实体经济效能。
