Sandisk Shares Rise After Launch of QLC 3D Flash Memory Technology

Sandisk (SNDK) shares were up more than 8% in Tuesday trading after the company and Kioxia unveiled their 10th-generation quad-level-cell, or QLC, 3D flash memory technology.

The technology improves read and write bandwidth compared with the companies' eighth-generation 3D flash memory and is the first QLC 3D flash memory technology to reach a 4.8 Gb/s interface, according to the companies.
