U.S. Tungsten Scrap Export Ban Will Tighten Supplies for Buyers Elsewhere

0410 GMT - A U.S. ban on exports of tungsten scrap could tighten supply of the critical mineral even more than it already is for buyers outside the U.S., says Euroz Hartleys. The export ban, which begins later this month and should make more recycled tungsten available within the U.S., "adds further focus to the security of tungsten supply outside of China," the broker says. The Western tungsten market has been very tight since China imposed export controls in early 2025, it says. According to Euroz, the U.S. ban should be a positive for ASX-listed tungsten stocks. The broker says it likes EQ Resources, Apollo Minerals and Tungsten Mining.
