力拓铁矿石业务首席执行官马修·霍尔茨表示，力拓集团无意剥离旗下规模不大的加拿大铁矿石公司相关业务。
周三，霍尔茨在墨尔本的一场媒体发布会上被问及是否可能出售该资产时表示：“我们已对其他资产开展战略评估，态度十分透明，但加拿大铁矿石公司并不在此列。”
他称：“我们调整资产组合时已作出明确决定，加拿大铁矿石公司归属于铁矿石业务板块。”
力拓年铁矿石销量为3.66亿吨，其中加拿大铁矿石公司矿山及选矿厂贡献约1800万吨矿石销量。
力拓持有该项目58.7%的运营股权，三菱商事持股26.2%，拉布拉多铁矿石特许收益公司持股15.1%。
力拓计划今年通过出售其他资产筹集约50亿美元，待售资产包括钛业务、硼酸盐业务，以及电力系统、海水淡化厂等基础设施资产。
