8月6日晚间，粉笔公考教育发布《致粉笔学员的一封信》，就近期产品调整引发的风波作出回应。值得注意的是，这封信中出现了大量直白甚至自黑的表述，诸如“不是因为我们良心发现”“想蹭一点热度”等表述迅速引发网友热议。

降价不是“不是良心发现”

针对980系统班从1280元降至980元，粉笔在信中直言：“为什么要降呢？不是因为我们良心发现，而是因为这个产品在友商的竞争挤压下越来越不好卖了，迫不得已。”

承认“东施效颦”“想蹭一点热度”

粉笔在信中承认，去年推出的“7+1”““粉刷刷”“大笔筒”等产品是在模仿同行：“在名字上模仿人家的，一是想蹭一点热度，另一个是粉笔把这些课免费送给系统班、刷题班的朋友，想让同行的课显得不值钱。”但结果“弄巧成拙”，“反而衬托了人家的大气”，自己销量不升反降。粉笔反思道：“做人做生意，发心还是要正，不能老想到竞争，还是要多创造。”

讲义不包邮是“算成本舍不得寄”

关于此前引发学员不满的讲义邮寄问题，信中解释：“我们也想寄，只是内部算了一下成本，全家桶讲义印制成本要一百多，加上快递费预计在一百大几十，之前买的人有点多，又舍不得。”粉笔在信中表示，只收一个印制费和快递成本价本以为会得到表扬，没想到又是骂声一片。

信中，粉笔也对产品降价、讲义邮寄、AI课程权益及老学员补偿等问题公布了具体调整方案。
