QuinStreet Shares Gain on Higher 4Q Profit, Rosy Outlook

Shares of QuinStreet surged after the company reported a leap in its fiscal fourth-quarter profit and guided for revenue growth above analyst expectations.

Shares were up 23% to $18.72 in after-hours trading on Thursday. The stock closed down 1.6% at $15.22, up 5.9% this year.

The online marketplace company on Thursday logged a profit of $19.1 million, or 33 cents a share, compared with a profit of $3.2 million, or 6 cents a share, a year earlier.

Stripping out certain one-time items, adjusted earnings were 50 cents a share. Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting 44 cents a share.

Revenue rose to $373.9 million, up from $262.1 million a year prior. Analysts had been expecting $359.9 million in revenue.

The company said it expects revenue in fiscal year 2027 to be between $1.45 billion and $1.55 billion. Analysts are expecting $1.46 billion in revenue.

For the current fiscal first quarter, the company forecast revenue between $370 million and $380 million. Analysts expect $355.6 million.
