The company expects fiscal Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.91 to $0.95 on revenue of $1.589 billion to $1.618 billion.
Analysts project EPS of $0.80 on revenue of $1.556 billion.
Microchip Technology maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.455 per share, payable Sept. 9 to stockholders of record Aug. 24.
The company's shares jumped 13% in after-hours trading.
