CITIC Securities' (SHA:600030, HKG:6030) controlling shareholder, China CITIC Financial Holdings, raised its holdings in the company after the completion of a 16 billion yuan share placement, according to a weekend filing on the Shanghai bourse.
The securities company's shares rose less than 2% during Monday's morning trade.
CITIC Financial's stake in the company rose to 23.96% from 19.84% after the company placed 803,725,383 shares at HK$23.13 per share.
