印尼铜出口正面临延误，原因是超大型矿山Grasberg的配套冶炼厂在周末因锅炉泄漏而停产。
知情人士表示，Gresik冶炼厂的铜买家已被告知，该厂将在未来数周暂停运营，以进行评估和维修。格雷西克冶炼厂负责加工Grasberg的矿石，该矿由印尼政府与Freeport-McMoRan Inc．共同拥有。由于无权公开讨论相关事宜，上述人士不愿具名。
此次停产正值全球铜市场供应趋紧之际。随着大量铜流向美国，以及近期运往中国的货物增加，伦敦金属交易所（LME）铜价基准合约已连续五个交易日维持在每吨14，000美元上方，创历史纪录。
位于印尼巴布亚的Grasberg超大型矿山在去年因泥石流影响生产后，目前已恢复部分运营，但全面复产可能要到2028年。
