路透惠灵顿8月12日 - 新西兰总理拉克森(Christopher Luxon)周三表示，他赢得了执政党议员的信任投票。此前，外界对其领导地位的猜测升温，他因此召集会议应对相关问题。
民调显示，由于经济增长乏力，拉克森领导的国家党支持率持续疲弱。此外，在接连出现一些失误后，他个人的支持率也下降。拉克森此前在4月也曾挺过一次信任投票。
“今天上午，我们在党团会议上就我的领导地位进行了信任投票，我获得了党团的全力支持，”拉克森在周三上午于惠灵顿召开的紧急会议后发表简短讲话时说道。
随着经济表现不振，国家党的支持率下滑。大多数民调显示，国家党的支持率略微落后于工党，不过11月7日的大选仍胜负难料。周三公布的1News Verian民调显示，拉克森作为首选总理人选的支持率下降1个百分点至17%，但仍领先于工党领袖希普金斯(Chris Hipkins)，后者的支持率同样下降1个百分点至15%。
